Spring Maintenance Work for 2019 Season – Volunteers Required
Hello Tyee Club of BC Members, Anglers and Enthusiasts. The 2019 season is approaching, and the major work cleanup work party has now been scheduled for June 15, 2019. This work will be labour intensive and will require at least 20 volunteers, so please consider participating. The Tyee Club is hosting the Dragon Boat races again for 2019. Approximately 400 people, representing teams from all over Vancouver Island have attented this event in the past. More information can be found at http://racetheriver.ca/ Volunteers would be appreciated, with past volunteers finding it a very rewarding experience. Volunteers will supply participants with refreshments after the races. Festivities are usually over by mid afternoon.

Preparation Work for 2019 Season – Volunteers Required
Floyd Ross is again coordinating the clubhouse preparation work for the 2019 season. This work must be completed the weekend before the season opens. Please consider volunteering your time. The tasks include: Raising the Flag(s) at Clubhouse Putting up Signage at Clubhouse and around the Tyee Spit Mount the Bell and Weigh Scale Reassemble the Clubhouse Cleaning Station Take the Lawn furniture out of storage and place in the Clubhouse yard. The Tyee Club of British Columbia is currently updating Membership Records. The online data collection will occur until the beginning of the 2019 season; afterwards Sean Kelly will make sure that records are updated during the season. The desire is to have accurate club records for new communication initiatives that are currently being developed.
