The Tyee Club of British Columbia Constitution
The name of the Society is THE TYEE CLUB OF BRITISH COLUMBIA
The purposes of the Society are:
1. to restore and enhance habitats within the Campbell River watershed and estuary for the benefit of all species of salmonids;
2. to foster public interest in the sustainability of Chinook salmon, particularly the Chinook salmon known as “Tyee”, that originate in the Campbell River watershed;
3. to provide and maintain facilities to enhance the survival rate for juvenile Chinook salmon reared in the Campbell River watershed and released into Discovery Passage;
4. to provide opportunities for individuals desirous of becoming members of The Tyee Club of BC, particularly future generations;
5. to ensure all Tyee Club of BC members and individuals desirous of becoming Tyee Club of BC members conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner at all times in the waters and within the jurisdiction of The Tyee Club of BC;
6. to encourage the craft of fishing within the tradition of The Tyee Club of BC and to maintain The Tyee Club of BC’s heritage of good sportsmanship and fair chase;
7. to maintain accurate records of fish taken under The Tyee Club of BC rules for the use of Tyee Club of BC members and private or public agencies having similar interests; and
8. to maintain and preserve the artifacts and memorabilia of the Tyee Club of BC.
