The Tyee Club in partnership with the Pacific Salmon Foundation and community volunteers has an annual project underway to clean up the Campbell River estuary. The debris at the bottom ranges from tires to a complete sailboat and we hope this project will promote fish friendly habitat.

The Pacific Salmon Foundation has given the Tyee Club $1500 toward river bottom renewal in the Campbell River Estuary. The restoration will include planting of eel grass.
Local divers and Tyee Club volunteers helped clean the bottom adjacent to the Tyee Club docks. 37 tires and various other debris. Next step, transplanting eel grass.
